Children’s Aprons are Here!
Because people have requested…a lot…all the time…we are offering Children’s Aprons once again. We have begun the collection with two styles; our Ruffled Gathering Apron and our No Ties Apron. Both are being offered in Navy and Black Denim.
Let me add a caveat. I know that people want cute and adorable for their kids. I don’t really do cute comfortably. And within the context of our brand, they don’t sell. That may come from trying to make a brand be something it isn’t. Or maybe making the designer work outside her heart taints the design. I was never cute. I played in trees and nothing was more fun than building a fort. I am not good at designing for cute. I design better to solve a problem. Although our most popular design is the Gathering Apron with the drawstring, I will never make that Gathering Apron for kids, it may get caught on tree branches. We are offering the Ruffled Gathering Apron. It stays against the body with short ties and nothing hanging to get caught.
We have begun the collection with what we believe kids need for collecting forest finds, carrying their water or cookie. We are using denim because if the apron is filled with muddy rocks and crumbles of leaf and sticks, its fine, the denim washes up great! The Apron will help them have more fun!
This collection comes from my heart as it supports forest adventures and trail running.
Our Aprons will support their imagination and play. I would never want to stop the making of a good mud pie. In fact thinking about it, the denim jumper might be the best piece I can offer. That will come later if the market is supportive. For now, our collection also offers the No Tie Apron in denims.
We want to support kids playing and doing important work outside. We believe mud, trees, water and rocks are important. We believe having a cookie tucked away for later is important. And we believe Mom needs easy cleaning and a product they will do its job and last.
